Preparing For Your Reading
Set the Intention
I always suggest to invite the person or people you wish to speak to in advance of the reading. You can do this as much or as little as feels right to you. We never bother them by talking to them or reminding them of the appointment. But do let them know that you want them to come and you are looking foward to this time together. Be excited! I assure you, they are excited too.
The way in which you choose to do this is entirely up to you. I like to speak out loud to them, it feels right to me. Other people prefer to speak to their loved ones in their mind and that works just as well. Let them know any questions you have. Often those questions are answered during a reading.
Send out loving thoughts, both to them and to yourself. Set the intention for a beautiful reunion.
Relax and Remain Open
On the day of your reading, try and spend some time settling yourself and relaxing before the session. It is not advisable to schedule a reading inbetween other appointments, during the middle of a work day, or when there are other or many distractions. If you enjoy breath work or meditating I would suggest engaging in some lightly before the session but it is not required. I personally prefer to listen to soft music that I enjoy and that I find uplifting. Whatever works for you is what I would suggest.
If you are feeling nervous or anxious, do not fret. Please feel free to share this with me at the beginning of our session. I am happy to answer any questions or provide any explanations that will help you to feel safe and relaxed. I assure you, I am not a scary person, and I will greet you with a smile and an open heart. If this is your first session and/or you are feeling unsure or even skeptical, I would say that is absolutely normal. But do try and keep an open mind and approach the session with curiosity and a desire for a meaningful experience.
Trust the Process
The spirit world always knows what is best for us. We must put our trust in them. Sometimes, more than one person comes to speak, even if you didn't specifically invite them. Trust the process and let the reading and information come forward as it is meant to. Every person in spirit who attends a reading has a purpose and a desire to fulfill a need.
Sometimes we may be wanting to hear from a particular person who does not join or to receive details that are not provided. We may not always know or understand why that happens. I always say "We know what we want, but they know what we need". Trust in spirit and allow things to unfold as they are meant to.
